3.2Getting the key
Have your PINFL ready.
The identification system (OneID) can only enter a foreigner who has a PINFL.
- You need
- PINFL and passport
Register in OneID.
At id.gov.uz or at a Public Services Centre. OneID is the single login for state services.
Order the EDS key.
Through a Public Services Centre or an authorised issuer; the key comes on a token or as a file with a password. A company's key can be ordered in the same order as its registration.
- You get
- A personal key, and later the company's key
Write down the expiry date.
Set a reminder a month before it. An expired key on a filing deadline is one of the most avoidable problems we see.
Checklist
- I have a personal EDS key
- The company's key is with the person who signs reports
- I have a reminder a month before the key expires
Common questions
Are EDS, ЭЦП, ERI and E-IMZO the same?
Yes. They are names for the same electronic digital signature key in English, Russian, Uzbek and the product name.
Can a foreigner get an EDS key in Uzbekistan?
Yes, once they have a PINFL. The company's key can be ordered together with the registration.
Want us to do it for you?
iBookkeeper registers companies for foreign and local founders and keeps their books afterwards. We talk it through in English, Uzbek or Russian first; once we agree, we sign a paper contract.
